Welcome Seedcampers
Yesterday I was one of the lucky people who hosted a group of startups from the UK on their 3-week Seedcamp America trip.Business development manager, Angelique Kamara, and I answered questions about how we partner with, acquire, and invest in startups. We also talked at length about the renewed focus on PayPal’s developer program, which has helped hundreds of thousands of developers use PayPal to monetize their ideas and participate in PayPal’s 123-million-user service.
Seedcampers took a tour around the PayPal campus and got a first-hand look at the PayPal mobile app which lets you check in and pay with your mobile phone at our onsite Starbucks café. They also took a walk through the PayPal Usability Lab and the PayPal Network Operations Center (NOC).
I loved the high energy this group brought with them, and appreciated a first-hand view into what PayPal’s doing well and where we need to improve. We are doing our best to partner closely with startups and help them build the next big thing.
